DVCSNE Grant Application & Guidelines
DVCSNE is an organization that promotes nutrition education and supports the efforts of its members in providing quality education to the public in the Delaware Valley by offering educational programs, scholarships, and grants.
One nutrition education grant of up to $500 is available this year to all active members, including those self-employed, commissioned by or employed by organizations of local government, schools, medical facilities, etc. This grant will consider any nutrition education project that has a main goal of improving overall diet by addressing general or specific issues to help its audience adopt a healthy, active lifestyle.
Application Submission Requirements
1. Completed DVCSNE Grant Application form.
2. Current / Active DVCSNE member.
3. Completed DVCSNE Grant Proposal Questionnaire:
a. Answer the questions in as much detail as possible.
b. Please limit your answers to three single spaced page or six double spaced pages (font size ≥ 10)
4. Grant Proposal Selection Criteria:
a. The Project must:
i. Include specific educational/behavioral objectives with measurable results
ii. Have the potential to be replicated
iii. Be original/creative in design and program implementation
iv. Not contain copyrighted material. No items may be sold as a part of the
b. Grant proposals must empower the intended audience to adopt a nutritious, active
lifestyle and be advocates for their own health
A committee of DVCSNE Board Members will evaluate submitted grant proposals. Applicants will be notified by December 14th. The grant project winner will be expected to recognize
DVCSNE for funding when publication or presentation of the project occurs. In addition, a
picture of the winner and results summary is requested at the conclusion of the grant project.
